Castilla regains form, Femenino still suffering

Match Report 20/11/2021 : Real Madrid Castilla 3 – 0 Sabadell

Real Madrid had their fourth consecutive win in Primera RFEF on Saturday at Alfredo Di Stéfano, taking all three points against Sabadell.  Madrid youngsters fairly outplayed their opponent thanks to the goals from Latasa, Aranda, and Dotor

Madrid started dominating the game right from the start. On 25’ Latasa scored a header from Jaume cross from the left flank to put the team 1-0 ahead. After conceding the goal Sabadell tried to get back into the match and nearly succeeded from Jacobo’s free-kick. 

Sadabell once again came closer to score but Aguza’s effort flew over the bar. As they continued their search for the equalizer, Castilla managed to score a second when Aranda converted a penalty on 54’. 

Raul’s team did not buckle up nor was satisfied. Meanwhile, Guillem upended Dotor in the D-box and the midfielder stepped up to slot home the penalty to make it three. The visitor’s luck seemed duller when Moha’s shot hit the post. Before the finishing line, Dotor and Marvin had their chances to increase the deficit but eventually, the game ended 3-0 for the Madrid’s academy team. 

 

Match Report 21/11/2021 : Real Madrid Femenino 1 – 1 Alavés

Madrid valkyries picked up another point for themselves at home against Alavés on Saturday. Madrid could have had all the three points but the lady luck wasn’t with them as they hit the cross-bar not once but twice. 

Madrid Women team fell behind early in the match when they conceded the first goal within only 3 minutes. Alba scored the goal for the visitors to make it 0-1. Going behind Madrid regained their authority over the match and had most of the possession. Esther tried her luck with a well-struck shot. Nahikari had her chance as well but the opposition GK did not have to do much to save the shot. Madrid’s found their equalizer on 32’ as Zornoza delivered a good cross which Nahikari headed home. Both the team had their chances but the game remained 1-1 for the first 45 minutes. 

After coming from the break, Esther came very close to scoring but her effort flew over. Teresa also had her chance from a header but the score remained the same.  

Real Madrid continued their search for another goal to keep all three points at home but the game ended at 1-1 and Madrid had to share the points. David Aznar’s side is now unbeaten from the last four and is to go to international break on a positive note.
