SUN 28 NOVEMBER-2021, MATCHDAY 14-GROUP 2- PRIMERA RFEF

After two consecutive defeats against Castilla Castellón and Linares, Madrid’s young guns ended up drawing with Sevilla on Saturday. Real Madrid Castilla is no doubt going through a certain rough patch in Primera RFEF as they only managed to get 1 point out of the last 9. With three matches and zero wins, Raúl’s side seemingly deals with the problem of scoring goals.

(Linares 1-0 Real Madrid Castilla…)

In the match against Linares Madrid fought to bring out goals but instead, they ended up conceiving a late one in the 79th minute.

Castilla tried to go ahead in the game with Arribas when he found himself in a one-on-one position against Linares GK Ernestas. But the opposition GK came out thriving and Madrid missed the first real chance of the game. But the hosts kept threatening Madrid’s defence right from the beginning and came close to scoring. Dotor, Latasha both had their chances to put the team ahead but in vain.

After the break, both sides were determined to score and created quite a few chances for themselves but finally, it was Linares who broke the deadline 10mins from the finish line. Sanchidrián found a way past Fuidias and fired the ball in after a poor clearance in defence.

The game ended 1-0 but Madrid Castilla carried their poor form and performance in the next game also.

(Real Madrid 1-2 Castilla Castellón…)

In the match against Castilla Castellón, the Madrid Academy side tasted their second consecutive defeats in the league as they lost the match by one goal margin and also saw an end to their unbeaten run at home.

Real Madrid Castilla went behind early in the match when Mario Barco scored for the visitors in just 1 minute of the game. Madrid tried to respond hard with Miguel’s free-kick on the 8th but his shot was just wide off the post. Peter also came within inches of a leveler when his deep cross from the right came back off the crossbar.

Latasha then helped Madrid get an equalizer right after halftime. But Castellón was not finished with Madrid. On 63’, Kandoussi scored for them and put them ahead once again. Madrid tried to get back into the game and looked for another goal but the match remained 1-2 for the visitors.

(Sevilla Atlético 1-1 Real Madrid Castilla…)

The desperate search for a win was yet to be found by Real Madrid Castilla as Raúl’s side drew the away match against Seville on the 11th of December. The match finished 1-1 and put more pressure on the team.

Madrid Young guns started the match well. They could go ahead in the match on 5’ with Miguel went close to score but his shot across goal skimmed the post. The visitors seemed to fling crosses into the penalty box but the hosts stood firm and held their ground. On 34’, Arribas played in a fantastic cross for Morante to put Castilla one goal up.

Coming from the dressing room, Sevilla Atlético started to press and put pressure on Madrid’s defence. But the visitors this time kept their nerve until 70 minutes when Pablo Pérez latched onto a loose ball off Luis López and found the equalizer for the hosts.

Ten minutes later Arribas came close to scoring for Madrid but his free-kick went side-netting before Castilla was reduced to ten men as Mario Martín was given a red card.

And the not-getting-three-points curse was yet to be lifted for Madrid Castilla as the game eventually ended in a one-one draw.
